About Bodycote
At Bodycote, we’re more than the world’s leading provider of heat treatment and specialist thermal processing services. We’re a people business at heart. The Role
As a Production Operator (Coater), you’ll be responsible for operating thermal spray and coating equipment to apply precision coatings to engineered components. You’ll work with robotic and semi-automated systems, programming equipment, setting and monitoring process parameters, and ensuring components are correctly loaded, unloaded, and prepared for processing. You’ll also support tooling preparation and masking to ensure components meet exact customer requirements.
You’ll take ownership of ensuring all parts are processed in line with strict quality standards and approved process documentation. This includes inspecting components before and after coating to ensure previous operations have been completed correctly and that your own work consistently meets specification. Through training and hands-on experience, you’ll develop a strong understanding of coating processes and the factors that influence quality and performance.
You’ll also play an important role in maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient working environment, contributing to 5S activities, following a “check-work-check” approach, and always working to a “right first time” standard.
