The Role

As a Nitriding Technology Specialist, you’ll drive sustainable growth within Bodycote’s Nitriding Portfolio. The role will involve helping to shape strategy, identifying commercial opportunities, and providing expert technical support to local operations.

Taking ownership of nitriding processes and associated technical activities, you’ll play a key role in enhancing operational performance, ensuring product quality, and supporting business growth.

Who We’re Looking For

Key essentials:

• Educated to degree level in Material Sciences or Metallurgy with specialisation in Nitriding and Nitrocarburising using Gas or Plasma methodologies

• Industrial experience in commercial and Aerospace Nitriding and Nitrocarburising with extensive knowledge of market applications and development of solutions for OEMs

• Project management skills and stakeholder management

• Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with all functions to deliver customer expectations

• Excellent level of literacy and numeracy

Desirable:

• Able to identify commercial opportunities to expand nitriding portfolio

• NADCAP HT, EN9100, TS16949, CQI9 awareness

• Pyrometry process knowledge / awareness

Location & Work Pattern 

This role is based in Coventry, with on-site working expectations. Some travel may be required.
