The Role
As Group Accounting Specialist, you’ll work closely with senior finance leaders to deliver accurate and timely group financial reporting, support statutory reporting, and ensure compliance with accounting standards. Taking ownership of the group’s consolidated reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes, you’ll impact the quality and reliability of financial insights provided to the CEO, CFO, Executive Team, and Board.
- Support the month-end Group consolidation close, ensuring accurate, timely reporting aligned with Group policies, IFRS, and Provision 29 controls.
- Assist in preparing half-year and year-end consolidated financial statements, notes, and disclosures; liaise with external auditors.
- Own the Group budgeting and forecasting consolidation process, including templates, deadlines, data checks, and reporting input.
- Support master data management and contribute to system improvements with the Senior Reporting Analyst and Finance Systems Analyst.
- Advise on technical accounting, reporting, and budgeting matters; support SSC and divisions with non-operational transactions.
- Continuously review and improve reporting and forecasting processes to enhance efficiency and control.
- Liaise with external and internal auditors, ensuring compliance and smooth audit processes.
What We’re Looking For
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualification is strongly preferred but degree-level studying towards qualification is considered.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and its application in financial reporting.
- Proven expertise in Group reporting and financial process ownership.
- Audit experience is highly desirable.
- Prior experience working in large complex international teams and demanding environments.
- Advanced Excel skills, particularly in financial modelling and data analysis.
- Fluency in English (written and oral).
